Dudhsagar Waterfalls

Dudhsagar Falls are one of the India largest waterfalls, located in the state of Goa on the river Mandovi River. Waterfalls are not very spectacular during the dry season, but during the season of monsoons, falls are transforming into the one of the world most beautiful waterfalls, which bring him thousands of tourists. Waterfall is 310 m high. Waterfall is easy accessible during any seasons by train or rough road. Waterfall got their name because of milky look. Dudhsagar literally means Ocean Of Milk. Many tourists prefer to climb over the mountains and forests to the top from where you get magnificent views. Also swimming in the calm waters bellow is very popular.

Danube Delta

From its springs in Germany, Danube river gather many tributary water flows from 9 countries and pass through 4 capital cities. 2860 km long stream finish its journey in the Romania where it form a big delta (second by size in Europe after a Volga Delta. Delta has a aproximate surface of 2600 km2 but this surface is every year bigger for a 40 m because of big ammount of deposits broughted by the river. 740 km2 of Delta is on the Ukrainian side of the border. This rich ecosystem is greatly preserved because this is one of the least inhabited regions of Europe with only 2 people per km2. Most of them lives in the city Sulina. The town Tulcea at the western edge of the delta, but not in the delta, is the place from where tourist cruises begins. Danube Delta is habitat for over a 300 hundred bird species. Fishing tourism is very popular. Here is place where you can expect capital catches of Zander and Catfish. However i would like to try match fishing there… For cruise in some canals you will need special permit. Acces to some of the areas is strictly forbidden since they are protected ecological zones. This forbidden areas makes maybe 10% from the total delta area. And yes this is yet another world heritage site on Across The Planet.

River Kamachnik

River Kamachnik rise from the deeps of Gorski Kotar near town Vrbovski in Croatia. River is only 3 km long (after which it cascading to River Dobra), but because of exceptional beauty it is under state protection. In the entrance off canyon, scene is magical, almost like a from the Lords Of The Rings. Forest is everywhere and high trees are making pleasent shades. On the side walls of old sawmill looks like castle walls. Further up the river begins high gulch covered by the green moss. Footpath is following the river further. While heading to the spring you are stepping over wooden bridges and crossings. Few fallen trees and impression of wilderness are giving special taste to this place. Only bridge Kamchanik is ruining this impression. In the end you are coming to the river spring. Spring is sunken under a small lake and looks very attractive. You can easily get there by the speedway Zagreb – Rijeka. While in Vrbovsko you should also see the picnic place Litorich and monastery Gomirje which is most western monastery in Europe of eastern orthodox church.

Đavolja Varoš – Devils Town

Đavolja Varoš (Devils Town) is atractive nature phenomenon in South Serbia maybe 90 km soutwest from Niš, near Kuršumlija. It is in fact 202 rock formations maded by erosion and rain. This phenomenon is very rare in the world and similar appearences can be found in Alpes and USA but are much smaller. This location is under state protection from 1959 and from 1995 is natural good of outstanding importance and enjoy first category of state protection.
There is also two natural spring located bellow the formations with the high mineral concentration.
First spring called Devils Water is extremly high acid water (ph 1.5) and with the high mineral concetrantion (15 g/l). Rock formation is nominee in New Seven Wonders election. Curently they are on 24th position of 77 candidates. Is is first of nominee from Europe and first among other rockz formations in the worlds.
