I just found interesting list of largest and biggest cities on the world. Here are first twenty sorted by the estimated population at 01.01.2009. These are approximate figures so data on other sites can be different according to the different methods of measuring.

Plitvice Lakes – Croatia
Plitvice lakes are set of 16 lakes in central Croatia near the west border of Bosnia And Hercegovina. Lakes are located on Plitvice plateau with highest lake located at 636 m above sea level and lowest at about 500 m above the sea level. Formation is over 8 km long. Korana river is formed from the water flow from last lake. Plitvice lakes are national park in Croatia and hills and mountains around are heavily forested. Rare fauna such as the European brown bear, wolf, eagle, owl, lynx, wild cat and capercaillie can be found there, along with many more common species. Plitvice lakes are major Croatian tourist attraction.
The park was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979 in recognition of its “outstanding natural beauty, and the undisturbed production of travertine (tuff) through chemical and biological action”. …click here to read more
