The Rakitnica River is placed in Bosnia and Hercegovina 30 km from Sarajevo. Passing between the mountains Bjelasnica and Visocica Rakitnica formed an attractive canyon maybe 25 km long. Rakitnica is the main tributary of the Neretva River. The Rakitnica canyon is one of the deepest canyons in Europe and it’s one of the most beautiful Bosnian nature attractions. The Entrance to the canyon is at 1150m above sea level. Best months for visits and taking mini rafting trips are from May to October.
