Stone Forest is a set of karst formations (naturaly formed) in Shilin County (Yunnan province, China) 85 km from the city Kunming. Tousands of tall rocks emanate from the ground like the stalagmites. Stone forest is covering few hundred of square kilometres. Forest is over 270 million years old, and the area used to be ocean. Stone Forest mountains form strange shapes which excite people imagination. Between the stone peaks are many lakes.
