The lake is 2120 m long and 1380 m wide with deepest part of 30 meters. Nature here is amazing, lake is surrounded by forests and mountains with many small villages around. Above the lake is Medieval castle, and in the middle of the lake is the Bled Island with the Church of the Assupmtion of Mary on it. The lake is 55 km far from Ljubljana and it is well known in sports world as it hosted world rowing championship three times. Island Bled is the only island in Slovenia . Medieval Bled castle is first time mentioned in 1004 which means that castle is one of the oldest castles in Slovenia. As you see in the images castle position is magnificent.
